Simphiwe Shazi

Simphiwe’s journey began in electrical engineering, later strengthened by postgraduate studies in project management and business leadership. Over the years, he has held senior roles at Eskom, MAN Ferrostaal and Siemens, building a reputation for disciplined delivery, technical depth and an instinct for navigating complex infrastructure environments.

He is registered as a PrCPM with SACPCMP, where he also contributed as an approved investigator and tribunal committee member. Under his guidance, Grinaker continues to sharpen its focus on turnkey delivery, operational excellence and the kind of engineering integrity that stands the test of time.

Nicolas Verrier
Head: Grinaker Power

Nicolas Verrier leads Grinaker Power with extensive international experience in the energy infrastructure space. His career spans senior roles across Europe and Africa, where he has built a reputation in risk management, project finance, disciplined project delivery and strategic leadership. He holds an Engineering and MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering from the French Institute of Advanced Mechanics (I.F.M.A.).

Over the course of his career, Nicolas has overseen projects in power generation, transmission, and industrial infrastructure, working with a range of contract forms including FIDIC, NEC, GCC, and bespoke agreements. In his leadership, Nicolas is dedicated to steering Grinaker’s expansion in the energy infrastructure space, positioning the company as a trusted partner in delivering reliable solutions that contribute to Africa’s sustainable energy future.

Maggy Masilela
Head: Finance

With nearly two decades of experience in the construction industry, Nandala Maggy Masilela Jiyane brings a rare combination of financial expertise and on-site operational insight to her role as Head of Finance. Her journey spans 12 years in site cost management and 7 years within financial leadership, equipping her with a deep understanding of both the technical and financial drivers behind successful project delivery.

Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Finance, Maggy has consistently demonstrated excellence in financial reporting, strategic planning, and process optimisation, enabling more efficient and effective project execution. As Head of Finance, she plays a pivotal role in strengthening financial governance while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence across the organisation.
